Commercial Transportation

Montgomery, Rennie and Jonson was founded in February 1989. Three months later the firm was hired on short notice to represent a driver and motor carrier in a wrongful death trial in south Texas. The Texas trial result led to other trials and within three years, MR&J was involved in catastrophic commercial transportation cases throughout the country.

Today, the firm serves as national or regional trial counsel for a number of clients who insure, operate or manufacture commercial vehicles.

In the last 10 years, MR&J has tried more than 40 major commercial transportation cases in 19 states. Many of those trials have been in what the American Tort Reform Foundation has designated "Judicial Hellholes" including; Bronx County, Clark County Nevada, Madison County Illinois, L. A. County, the Rio Grande Valley, South Florida, Texas Gulf coast, and West Virginia. The firm has represented clients in arbitration and mediation in 49 states and we continue our active trial schedule.

We have invested heavily in specialized training in accident reconstruction and the biomechanics of impact injuries. Our trial experiences across the country have helped us develop a nationwide network of experts in the commercial transportation realm, who can deliver in the field and the courtroom.
